Thread: just installed a second encoder

I just installed an older hauppauge recorder that uses the bttv drivers to go along with my PVR 250. I mostly did this just so I could have PIP because the quality is not the greatest.

Now MythTV is using the older card as encoder 1 to record videos. I've been looking all through the settings to change the preferred recorders but I can't find it.

Also, the sound doesn't work if i'm watching TV while recording. It only works for the recording.

I think I saw an options page for something like this a while ago but I can't find anything like it now. Any suggestions?

I am sure you did but to make sure
Did you checked that the tuners and video inputs etc. were properly configured in "mythsetup" ? And did you restart the backend afterwards?
