You will have noticed the very long 36 hour downtime that just happened and I am very sorry about it.
The issue was caused by the datacenter corrupting the SAN that we were on. Our hosting company put measures into place that will prevent this from ever occurring in the future, including on-the-fly local data storage.
Do I still trust them? Not sure, frankly. I did further investigation and I discovered that our hosting company got taken over so we are not run anymore by the same persons. I have been assured by the previous owner that the new team in place is also very knowledgeable etc but these 2 issues in less than a month makes me perplexed.
Once I am back in the UK, I will have to look very closely to the situation and decide if I stick with this hosting company or if it is time for us to move to a new one.
I apologize again for the downtime and for any inconvenience caused.
