Server outage... 10-hour dowtime...

Hello,

As you may have noticed the website was unavailable for almost 10 hours!
This issue with the hosting company came up at the worst time since I have been between planes today

Basically, we moved to a better server which should prevent outage in the future BUT they made a mistake setting up my dedicated IPs and they only realized it when I raised a ticket. It is their first human error over the last 3 years so I can't really complain but please accept my apologises for the 10hours++ downtime

Let me know if you notice anything wrong or if you experience any issues.

I posted an update to my own post here BT878 problems on 0.22 around midnight Saturday UTC - it appeared online shortly after, but has now disappeared...

I will repost later once I can access the Myth box...

I don't know if this a function of the server outage or not, but I was looking though the "0 replies" section, trying to be the helpful moderator type and I noticed after a while that a lot of the posts showing up with 0 replies had been replied to before. Let me be a little more clear. They showed up with no replies now, but I remembered several of these had been respoded to and the responces seemed to be missing now???

Anyway, I thought I should let you know. I don't know if anything can be done about it now.

I apologise about that but it looks like we lost approx 1h-2h of posts in this mess and there is no way of recovering them...

They did a copy ofd the sql DB at a given time but without warning me first so I could not close the board and the new posts were entered in the old DB

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

I'm back a week earlier due to shorten vacations and by the look of it, we lost way more than 2h of posts! If anyone knows that his posts disappeared and that you have a rough idea of how long before the outage it was posted, please let me know.
