Default USB TV Tuner what works, what doesn't?
I'm trying to convert an old laptop into a mythtv box and so far it's working nicely. i don't have a tv tuner yet, nor have i ever used one. i need a USB one, coz i can't jam a pci card into the laptop. I've searched the net extensively, but have not gotten any good information on USB tuners under linux. I've only read somewhere that someone managed to get the Hauppage WinTV Nova USB to work.

So my question is whether there is anyone who actaully has a USB tuner working. if yes, what tv tuner is it? i also read that i have to get one that uses bttv or ivtv or it won't work with mythtv.

As of now there are NO usb tv tuners that work with mythv.

I'd love to find a tuner to use on my laptop when travelling around!

This has been noted to work with linux but NOT to work with mythtv here
http://mythtv.info/moin.cgi/HardWare...eoCaptureCards but since it Now has v4l support anything is possible. Hopfully somebody can get it to work!
