Default Recorded SD when HD available...

Last Monday MythTV recorded NCIS Los Angeles in SD. It should not have. I have 5 tuners, 4 of which can receive CBS in HD. In fact, the only tuners that can get CBS in SD can also get CBS in HD. I have verified that the schedule information for the SD CBS is different from the HD CBS and both appear to be correct. NCIS Los Angeles was the ONLY thing it was recording at that time, and I was not watching live TV.
I know that MythTV chose an SD station because the logo that I have set up for the SD version of the station is slightly different than the HD version, and the channel number is 5 instead of 5.1.

Why did MythTV choose SD?

I have since dropped the priority of SD stations by 10.

because your priority settings somehow gave the sd station a higher priority for recording or that particular recording was set to only the sd channel number. If you adjust your priority of that tuner to much less than the hd tuners/inputs you'll be fine in the future with recordings that are set to record on any channel.

The recording settings were set up sometime last year, at the beginning of that series. It has successfully recorded in HD until last weeks episode.

The priorities of all tuners & channels were set at 0 with the exception of the analog tuner which I have not been able to make work, so it was set at -10. Also, some channels on some OTA tuners were set at -10 because there was a stronger, more reliable signal on another tuner. (I have two antennas aimed in different directions)
CBS is only available via three tuners on cable and one OTA tuner, all were set to a priority of 0.

So somehow there were 4 HD sources and 3 SD sources for CBS all at the same priority and MythTV chose an SD version. I would call that a bug.
